Mentorship Program
Recommended for: Medical Students, Residents
Time: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (please be sure you can attend ALL four sessions before registering)
Status: Ticketed, but the ticket is FREE when registering for the Annual Meeting)
Description: This event is open to ALL medical students and residents; just check the box requesting a free ticket when you sign up for the meeting! The Mentorship Program spans several days over the course of the meeting, and matches trainees and medical students with senior child and adolescent psychiatrists. Small groups are formed in which the students and psychiatrists can form a collegial relationship that includes the sharing of ideas, challenges, and accomplishments.

Medical Student, Resident and Early Career Psychiatry Breakfast

Description: This free special interest group focuses on providing the opportunity for women to have exposure to mentors and peers from other institutions to help to clarify career goals, navigate work force pressures, brain storm about alternative career paths, and catalyze mentoring relationships between women at different career stages. Because mentorship has been clearly identified as a key factor for career success, this interest group assists women by providing role models and support as they seek to balance their internal perceptions and their drive to succeed. Women will acquire networking opportunities and knowledge to help them achieve an optimal balance between their personal and professional lives.
