AACAP is pleased to announce the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Research Training Retreat. This retreat sponsored by the Children’s Brain Research Foundation and AACAP Work Group on Research provides the opportunity for up to 30 general and child and adolescent psychiatry residents to receive a unique hands-on experience in learning the crucial elements for mastering an independent research career.

Participants will be exposed to the breadth and depth of child and adolescent psychiatry research, including career track planning, funding opportunities, lessons learned from senior researchers, research data presentation, writing an abstract and article, and preparing grant applications for external review. Participation in this program provides funding support for travel and lodging expenses to the CAP Research Training Retreat in Chicago, IL, December 4-5, 2007.
