Systematic studies have established that the vast majority of children and adolescents are hypnotizable. Hypnosis constitutes a specific and potentially powerful facilitator of therapeutic change. This Workshop familiarizes participants with a standardized format of assessing hypnotizability and with strategies of integrating hypnosis into an overall treatment plan. Clinical applications include: pain; psychological factors affecting medical conditions; somatoform disorders; dissociative disorders; anxiety disorders; and habit disorders.
