This Workshop covers basic and advanced family/systems-based techniques that enhance the capacity of child and adolescent
psychiatrists to be clinical leaders in community-based systems of care. Core principles and values of community-based systems of care for children and adolescents are covered. The critical need for family centered, strength-based, and outcome-driven interventions that address the complex challenges facing high-risk, multi-agency cases is emphasized. The use of the Child and Adolescent Services Intensity Instrument (CASII) as it relates to family focused interventions is included.
