This Workshop is an interactive, participatory, and skill-building session for child and adolescent psychiatry educators. We review the important principles that should guide effective teaching. The goal of the Workshop is to engender active learning and improved teaching and presentation skills for each participant. Participants explore various important educational principles of adult learning theory and apply them to selected video and role-play vignettes. To benefit optimally from this Workshop, participants are encouraged to bring a brief video or vignette of a challenging educational encounter to discuss with the other participants and with the Workshop leaders.
