Diagnosis of infants and young children has rapidly evolved after the publication of the ZERO TO THREE/National Center for Infants, Toddlers and Families’ Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood™ (1994), also known as Diagnostic Classification: 0-3™ (DC: 0-3™). This Workshop is one of the first to present training on the newly-revised version, DC: 0-3R™ published August 2005. Clinicians, researchers, and those with training and supervisory responsibilities have the opportunity to intensively review the organizing principals of the DC: 0-3 R™ and Axes I-V.
Differences between DC: 0-3™ and DC: 0-3R™ are highlighted. Videotaped case presentations provide “hands-on” experience with the DC:0-3R™, with an emphasis on understanding, diagnosing, and treating infants and young children within their caregiving contexts.
Sponsored by the AACAP Infant and Preschool Committe
