The AACAP is pleased to present JobSource, a service for child and adolescent psychiatrists seeking positions and employers looking to fill open positions for child and adolescent psychiatrists. JobSource has a booth at the Annual Meeting, Wednesday, October 25 – Saturday, October 28.

JobSource, available on AACAP’s Web site (www.aacap.org), is an advertising tool for employers seeking qualified child and adolescent psychiatrists for positions both nationally and internationally. AACAP members and meeting attendees can use JobSource to look for available positions. Searching is free of charge. In addition, members can enter their curriculum vitae on-site into the JobSource database. Vitae can be entered into the JobSource at any time—there is no need to wait until the meeting. Vitae and positions entered at the 53rd Annual Meeting appear both in the on site JobSource database, and also on the AACAP’s homepage during the Annual Meeting and for the three months following the meeting.

Employers can use JobSource to advertise open positions. The AACAP staff developed JobSource specifically for the members as a recruitment database. This database reaches the largest group of credentialed specialists in child and adolescent psychiatry. There is a $600 fee for three months to employers wishing to advertise positions in our JobSource database (this includes a one-time $100 initial set-up and processing fee). Employers may also choose to advertise positions on our JobSource bulletin board at the 53rd Annual Meeting for $250 if submitted before September 22, 2006 or $300 if submitted after this date. Please download a position description on the AACAP Web site and fax or mail it with payment to 202.966.9518 or AACAP, Department of Government Affairs and Clinical Practice, 3615 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20016. A Message Board is also available at the JobSource booth to assist employers and job seekers in setting up on-site interviews.

For more information about JobSource, please contact Amelia Wegner in the AACAP Department of Government Affairs and Clinical Practice at 202.966.7300, ext. 133 or awegner@aacap.org.
