About Us
CCROCAP is affiliated with
the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry,
Assembly of Regional Organizations of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and
the California Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Objectives
We work closely with the affiliated organizations listed previously in accomplishing their goals and continuing their missions at regional and/or local levels.
The promotion of mental health of children by working closely with families ,educational systems , and primary care modalities continues to be one of our priorities.
CCROCAP is equally concerned about the acute need to recruit professionals in the mental health specialty and will work closely with medical schools to attract students at entry level . Please refer to AACAP's website for resources/scholarships and award opportunities available for medical students .
We are conveniently located in Sacramento, California; and have the following counties in our jurisdication: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Lassen, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Tulare, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba.
Central California is home to some excellent physicians and pioneers in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, including two of the AACAP presidents Dr Thomas Anders and Dr Robert Hendren who also belong to CCROCAP.
