Continuing Medical Education Credit
This course is one in a continuing medical education series under the direction of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Institutes Subcommittee. The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. After going through the reaccreditation process, AACAP has achieved an Accreditation with Commendation status. This extends our accreditation period to a six year term. Only 6–8% of CME providers attain this status.
The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13.75 hours in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
For participants seeking non-AMA continuing education credits: A certificate of attendance is provided after the activity and can be submitted to the appropriate specialty organization to attempt to obtain reciprocal credits.
CME credits are not available to those who purchase the course notebook or audio recordings without attending the meeting.
Course Notebook
Each participant receives a detailed notebook (helpful for later review), which organizes course materials, including outlines, annotated bibliographies of selected readings, CME questions for self-assessment examinations, and various handout materials. The notebook is also available for purchase after the Psychopharmacology Update Institute for $55 plus shipping and handling. To purchase, go to www.aacap.org after February 1, 2010.
Audio Recordings
Audio recordings of presentations from the 2010 Psychopharmacology Update Institute are available for purchase as an educational supplement or for those who are unable to attend. Also, Institute registrants receive a special discount on audio recordings if purchased with the registration. The MP3 files are distributed approximately three weeks after the meeting via e-mail from Content Management Corporation. See the registration form for more details.
